The department of Emergency Medicine was Started in GMC, Guwahati, Assam with the establishment of the New Emergency Medicine Block in GMCH, Bhangagarh in 2010 with the following facilities---

  1. Emergency Triage Area
  2. Resuscitation area with 22 beds , separate female examination room.
  3. Ward with 60 (sixty) beds and 9 HDU (6 M + 3 F)
  4. Emergency Operation Theater & recovery room (with 2 OT tables)
  5. Round the clock Laboratory services & electrocardiography
  6. 24 hour Emergency Imaging facilitates-- x-ray , CT Scan & Ultrasonography.
