Gauhati Medical College Library

The Gauhati Medical College Library was established in 1961. It has a unique collection of old 'International Periodicals'. The Central Library is situated at the Narakachal hill top in the college main building. It has an extension of its services in the Gauhati Medical College hospital complex to facilitate its users. The Central Library is fully automated with Koha(open source library software). The Library has an in-house database for e-Centre(e-Library) where 24 terminals are available to access the database by the users. The Central Library is connected to the National Medical Library(NML), New Delhi to access the e-Journals through ERMED consortium. Besides these Departmental Libraries are available in each and every department. The Central Library has been provided with the broadband Internet facilities for the benefit of the students and staff.
